Mediobanca’s London-based European banks analyst, known for his forthright views on the sector, is to join Atlantic Equities, an equities boutiques spun out of UK brokerage Cazenove.

Chris Wheeler will join Atlantic Equities early in the New Year, according to a person with knowledge of the move. Mediobanca's research analyst Alain Tchibozo is now covering UBS, Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank, according to a Mediobanca spokesman.
