With 15 years of frontline banking experience, and crisis-era roles with both the UK Treasury and the UK Financial Services Authority, Jeremy Bennett has an array of credentials that make him a suitable candidate to lead Nomura’s European business and fill the role left by John Phizackerley’s departure.
Last month, Phizackerley was reported to be exiting Nomura and Sky News' Mark Kleinman last night reported that Bennett was likely to take up the role of chief executive of Nomura in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. However, the Japanese bank has yet to confirm the appointment.
