The private equity sector has been criticised for being behind the curve when it comes to incorporating ESG into its investment decisions. But that has changed in recent years, and most firms now have a dedicated sustainable investment professional driving the agenda within the organisation and its portfolio companies.
Financial News's sister title Private Equity News has published its first Twenty Most Influential in ESG list, recognising the people leading the charge in the industry. The list features senior executives at firms including Carlyle, Partners Group, Coller Capital and General Atlantic.
See the full list here.
FN is also accepting nominations for its own list of senior leaders in ESG. If you would like to nominate someone for FN's Fifty Most Influential in Sustainable Finance, please download a nomination form and return it to fnlists@dowjones.com by close of business on 12 April.
The list incorporates people from across the sectors that FN covers, including asset management, investment banking, hedge funds, law, financial technology, trading and professional services.
