On the first of May, the finance world will turn its attention to Berkshire Hathaway’s annual general meeting, a marquee event where star investor Warren Buffett lures some 40,000 attendees.

This year, it's taking place virtually from Los Angeles, with shareholders able to quiz the Oracle of Omaha about his investment decisions during the three-and-a-half-hour session known as “Woodstock for capitalists”.
