The widening gulf between the largest buyout funds and the rest of the market will affect managers' approaches to dealmaking, according to a report by McKinsey & Co.
The consultancy's annual industry survey showed that while 2017 was a record year for private markets fundraising, all the growth came at the top, FN's sister publication Private Equity Newsreports.
