Meissner steps down at BAML as Asia head takes over

Matthew Koder named as new investment banking head, according to a memo seen by Financial News

Christian Meissner, the head of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s investment banking business, who guided the firm through its tumultuous post-crisis years, is leaving.

Meissner, who has led the division for nearly seven years, was responsible for reshaping BAML’s investment bank and expanding its international business, will step down at the end of the year, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News.
