Mellon Financial Corporation, the global financial services company, has appointed Jan Altink to boost Mellon's profile in Europe.

In this newly created position Altink will take charge of Mellon's communications in Europe. He will be responsible for the firm's internal and external branding in both Mellon Financial Corporation and Mellon Global Investments, Mellon's non-US asset management division.
