Mellon Global Investments has hired Julie Dickson to lead the European transition management offering, an area where specialists are in high demand as pension funds look to save costs during portfolio changes.

Dickson joins from Barclays Global Investors (BGI). She will be based in London and report to Greg Brisk, chief operating officer of Mellon Global Investments, the asset management arm of the US financial group. In this new role Dickson will work with Mark Keleher, president of Mellon's transition management services, based in San Francisco.
