Meme-stock investors who are famously bullish about their favourite stocks such as GameStop and AMC are finding it hard to maintain their optimism.

Data from Breakout Point, a data analytics firm, measured mentions of puts and calls in the WallStreetBets forum on Reddit. It found that mentions of put options (49.2%) were nearly equal to that of call options (50.8%) in the period between 24 January and 2 February.
