The City is stepping up efforts to break the 'menopause taboo', promoting flexible working and better training for managers, amid warnings that some of its most skilled workers may head for the exit without more support.

Financial services firms have increasingly been raising awareness of menopause in the workplace over the past year, according to figures from the Financial Services Skills Commission and Standard Chartered.
