Mercer Human Resource Consulting, the benefits arm of US Group Marsh & McLennan, is expanding its Swiss operations with its decision to buy KPMG Benefit Consulting's consulting business in the country.

The acquisition includes both KPMG's Zurich and Geneva-based operations and will add 24 new employees to Mercer's Swiss team.
