Merlin Biosciences, a biotechnology investor, has opened its first office in the Nordic region and hired Niilo Santasalo, an investment banker, to lead a new team.

Santasalo was hired from PCA Corporate Finance, the Finnish arm of the Danish bank LB Kiel Group. He will look for opportunities in the Nordic region, particularly in Finland. He will be based in Helsinki.
