Merrill and Unilever settle out of court for £75m

Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM) and Unilever have resolved all issues between them concerning the management of the Unilever Superannuation Fund.

According to a source close to Merrill Lynch, the fund manager has agreed to pay £75m (€120m) to Unilever without admission of liability, and Unilever has withdrawn proceedings. MLIM had originally suggested a figure of £45m, the source said.
