Merrill hires Donnelly to run FX spot desk in New York

Merrill Lynch has recruited John Donnelly from JP Morgan to run its foreign exchange spot desk in New York as it continues to expand its global foreign exchange franchise.

Donnelly, who took over the new position on Wednesday, was previously head of the FX spot team at JP Morgan in New York. In his new role, he will report to Adam Kreysar and Marcus Browning, co-heads of global foreign exchange trading.
