Merrill Lynch builds wealth management

Merrill Lynch Global Private Client, the wealth management arm of Merrill Lynch, has hired Toby Thomson and Adam Gray from ABN Amro. Thomson led a team of 34 with £1.2bn (€1.7bn) of assets under management and Gray was head of UK private client discretionary portfolio management.

At ABN, Thomson was also responsible for all commercial, operational and compliance issues.
