Merrill Lynch has appointed Cristina Garcia-Peri to the new post of managing director and head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea) corporate equity derivatives.

The appointment is part of the US investment bank's reorganisation of its Emea capital markets designed to align more closely its origination business across all financial products.
