Merrill Lynch has poached Guy Moszkowski, senior securities industry analyst at Salomon Smith Barney (SSB), as a replacement for Judah Kraushaar who resigned last month.

Moszkowski is a well-known and respected analyst and the hire is a triumph for Candace Browning, the recently appointed head of Merrill's global securities research and economics group who took over from Robert McCann. It is also a blow for Sallie Krawcheck, who took over at the helm SSB's research group late last year.
