Salomon Smith Barney has lost Anastasios Adam and Gamze Alpar to Merrill Lynch's Southern European investment banking team.

Alpar takes responsibility for Merrill's investment banking activities in Turkey. She joins Merrill as a director after four years at Salomon in London where most recently she was a senior member of the equity capital markets desk.
