Merrill Lynch has teamed up with Bloomberg, the financial information group, to expand its advanced trading operations.

Institutional investor clients will now be able to access the US bank's X-Act advanced trading system - allowing strategies based on real time market data and quantitative research and analysis - directly via their Bloomberg terminals.
