Merrill retains top spot for international bond issues

The lack of Eurobond issuance this week means the houses leading the underwriting league tables since mid-December have hung on to the top spots.

Merrill Lynch was the top manager of international bond issues in 2000, according to figures issued by Capital DATA to December 18. Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Schroder Salomon Smith Barney came second and third respectively.
