Merrill secures discount Casema sale for France Télécom

Merrill Lynch managed to squeeze €665m ($641m) out of a private equity consortium for Casema, the Dutch cable subsidiary France Télécom has been trying to sell all year.

The price is 11% lower than the €750m Liberty Media, the US communications group, was prepared to pay for the asset, but is higher than analysts had feared.
