Merrill's Buchesky joins SSSB

Susan Buchesky has left Merrill Lynch to join the pan-European generalist equity sales unit at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney (SSSB) as a vice-president. She joins former colleague Max Elvidge, who was only recently appointed to the 28-strong team.

Buchesky and Elvidge's move from Merrill Lynch is interesting since SSSB is building a business platform to compete with the likes of Merrill and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Buchesky was vice-president of European equity sales at Merrill.
