Matthias Mosler, the head of equity capital markets for Merrill Lynch in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is also taking on the newly created position of chief executive officer of global markets and investment banking in Germany.

He will be responsible for all of the bank's capital markets and investment banking business in the German market including mergers and acquisitions and debt capital markets.
