M&G recruits bankers to infrastructure team

The former heads of power and utilities at HSBC and SocGen will now work on deals in the sector for the asset manager

Infracapital, the infrastructure investment business run by insurer M&G Prudential, has recruited two ex-bankers as it aims to do more deals in the European energy sector.

The division, which manages £5bn, said on September 18 that it has recruited Christophe Bordes from Societe Generale, where he was head of power, utilities and infrastructure; and Herman Deetman, who held a similar role at HSBC before leaving in 2017 to found his own advisory boutique.
