Investment manager M&G said it is merging several parts of its business to create a new wealth management division with £28bn in assets under management.

In a 30 September note the firm said its recently acquired Ascentric platform will form part of the new division, alongside financial advice units Prudential Financial Planning and The Advice Partnership, and its direct funds business.
