Michael Dobson to step down from Schroders after two decades

The City grandee announced the launch of his own succession plan in the company’s annual report

Michael Dobson is stepping down as chair of Schroders, ending the City grandee’s near-20-year reign at the head of the company.

The group’s annual report, published on 27 March, confirmed that Ian King, the senior independent director at the asset manager, has been tasked with leading Dobson’s succession planning.
