The former chief executive of 3i Group, one of the UK’s oldest private equity firms, has launched a new vehicle to target investments in the water and waste sectors.

Private equity veteran Michael Queen has teamed up with former Deutsche Bank analyst Bertrand Lecourt to launch Aquilys Investment Management. The firm gained regulatory approval from the Financial Conduct Authority on August 20 and lists the two as its only approved staff, UK Financial Services Register records show.
