City grandee Michael Spencer says Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and Jeremy Hunt are the “clear candidates” to replace Theresa May as the UK prime minister and break Westminster’s Brexit impasse.

At Financial News’s annual Trading and Technology Awards in London on June 6, Spencer delivered a downbeat assessment of the Brexit negotiations, saying the “bravery, innovation and courage” required of the next prime minister has been “worryingly lacking in the political dialogue”.
