Michael Spencer: Too early to tell if Trump bump will last

NEX Group CEO says his new firm benefited from higher trading activity in the wake of Trump's surprise election triumph

Michael Spencer: Too early to tell if Trump bump will last

NEX Group chief executive Michael Spencer has warned it is too early to say whether the increase in trading activity sparked by Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election will endure.

Spencer, a City veteran who created NEX by selling the Icap name and voice-broking business to Tullett Prebon last year, said his new firm had enjoyed the benefits of higher trading activity in the wake of Trump's surprise triumph.
