Microsoft has launched BizTalk Accelerator, a financial services software package that aims to provide a low-cost, commoditised solution for securities firms' financial messaging activities.

The package, based on Microsoft's BizTalk Server 2000 integration product, will enable users to integrate financial messaging with internal business systems. It supports Swift ISO 15022, the new securities messaging standard that Swift will adopt on November 16, and other XML-based industry standards.
