David Svendsen, the former Microsoft UK chairman, is joining West Private Equity, the private equity arm of WestLB, as a non-executive business council member.

Svendsen, who was chairman and vice-president of Microsoft UK's EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) division until February, will assist West Private Equity in sourcing and advising on potential investments.
