Mid Europa Partners is set this week to make a final close for the largest buyout fund dedicated to central Europe, after beating its initial fundraising target to close on €1.5bn ($2.1bn), according to sources close to the firm.

The firm, which has offices in London, Warsaw and Budapest, responded to strong investor demand by raising its hard cap from €1.25bn to €1.5bn last month.
