Ixis Corporate and Investment Bank in Paris has promoted Bernard Migus to the position of director general, the number two job at the bank, taking over part of the role of Anthony Orsatelli, president of the board.

Ixis said the move would free up Orsatelli to focus more on other areas within the group. Orsatelli is also a board member at parent company La Caisse d'Epargne and at Ixis Asset Management.
