The law of supply and demand dominates market behaviour and surging asset prices suggest there is too much of one particular commodity right now.

The commodity is money, which, in a bizarre echo of the late 1990s boom, has started to inflate a series of asset bubbles across the capital markets. The rise in prices looks like a bull market. It smells like a bull market. But, in the absence of firm economic growth, it isn't.
