Milan Uses Brexit To Court Big Fund Managers

'We are serious about this' says Italian delegation dispatched to woo finance firms, as Brexit continues to bite down on London

The Italian authorities are in talks with a number of UK asset managers about shifting their operations to Milan as Britain’s impending departure from the European Union continues to bite down on London.

Arabella Caporello, the head of the municipality of Milan, said she is in conversations with a group of London-based investment companies about moving staff, opening branches and shifting entire operations to the Italian city, which is home to the national stock exchange.
