Miton shares slump after outflows

Shares fall 17% at the fund boutique after unexpected outflows at its poorly-performing funds

Shares in Miton Group, a listed fund boutique led by small cap manager Gervais Williams, have crashed nearly 20% following a profit warning which confirmed outflows at its poorly-performing funds will be larger than expected in the second half of 2014.

Miton shares dived 20% soon after the warning, before recovering slightly to be down 17% at 12.30pm.
