Japan's Mizuho has hired the former head of ING's Japanese equity business to lead its London-based division, amid a drive to build its broking business.

Richard Hoskin, who briefly worked for a hedge fund last year, will join Mizuho next month, assuming responsibility for the bank's equity derivatives, research sales and trading businesses.
