Michael Jones has left Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM), where he was head of UK retail. He has been replaced by Richard Royds, who will retain his current responsibility as MLIM marketing director, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

MLIM said Jones had left "to pursue other interests". Royds was responsible for MLIM's unit trust business between 1992 and 1999.
