MLIM fights back on Manna sacking case

Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (MLIM) will contest a lawsuit being brought by Tim Manna, the global head of fixed income that MLIM sacked in September for failure to supervise a trader.

Manna, who is highly regarded as a fixed income fund manager, is now suing MLIM. He denies he is to blame for the actions of a foreign exchange trader at the firm, who has also left the company.
