Emerging markets stalwart Mark Mobius has raised £100m for his UK-listed investment trust despite the poor sentiment among investors towards the developing world.

The capital raised will now be listed in a trust on the London Stock Exchange, with shares due to begin trading at a price of 100p each on 1 October, Mobius Capital Partners announced on 26 September. The fund, which the firm started raising on September 10, has an agreement that enables it to go back to the shareholders for a further £20m.
