Montag tops pay league at Bank of America

The president of global banking and markets earned 60% more than CEO

Tom Montag, president of global banking and markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, was the highest paid executive at the firm last year, earning 60% more than group chief executive Brian Moynihan.

The bank said in its proxy filing with the US Securities and Exchange Committee yesterday that Montag was awarded $16m (€11.3m) for 2010, which included performance restricted stock units of $14.3m.
