Montagu Private Equity, the UK-based mid-market buy-out firm, will accelerate its fundraising if it completes its £240m (€357.3m) purchase of Maplin Electronics, a UK retailer.

In the past two months, Montagu has bought four other firms and is "pretty confident" of completing the Maplin deal.
