Monzo co-founder Tom Blomfield has launched a defence of British billionaire Sir James Dyson, after the entrepreneur became embroiled in a lobbying row over texts he sent to Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Dyson sent a series of text messages to Johnson requesting help with taxes that his firm could face if staff travelled to the UK for a project to produce ventilators during the coronavirus pandemic. Johnson assured the technology magnate that he would “fix” the issue.
