Moody's criticised for hybrid U-turn

Ratings agency Moody's has received criticism from leading investment banks over confusion caused by its decision not to move ahead with its proposed plan to cut the ratings on close to 300 outstanding hybrid capital bonds.

Analysts at Merrill Lynch and Royal Bank of Scotland have led the rebuke of the agency following its decision not to go-ahead with plans it announced in November.
