Alberto Morano, an Italian private equity and acquisition financier, is to join White & Case, a global law firm in Italy, along with a 20-strong team of lawyers from his boutique firm. The team will almost double White & Case's Italian staff.

Morano will become a partner of White & Case. Four lawyers from his team at Studio Legale Morano e Associati, which he founded in 1990, will become local partners of the merged firm Studio Legale Associato a White & Case. The four are Gianpiero Basso, Federico Cavazza, Massimo Chiaia and Daniele Zanni.
