More IPOs pulled in Europe as markets brace for turbulence

Almost twice as many deals have been pulled in Europe this year than in the whole of 2017

Almost twice as many initial public offerings have now been shelved in Europe this year than in the whole of 2017, with eight cancelled deals in October coming as fresh volatility rocks global stock markets.

A total of 41 deals have been pulled in Europe, up from 21 last year, according to the data provider Dealogic— making it the worst year for withdrawn IPOs in the region since 2015.
