Almost half of corporate bond traders say they spent less of their workday on the telephone last year, as computers supplant the main way the debt has traded for decades.

Traders of investment grade corporate bonds now use electronic networks for about a third of their transactions, up from one quarter at the start of 2019, according to research by analytics firm Greenwich Associates.
