Morgan Stanley and CSFB advise Bunge on Cereol talks

Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse First Boston are advising Bunge, the US agribusiness and food company, on talks to buy a stake in Cereol, a Euronext-listed oilseed products group.

Last year Italenergia, a consortium led by Fiat and Electricité de France, was formed to acquire Montedison, an Italian conglomerate, and its Edison division. Edison is now selling off several of its non-core assets, including a 55% holding in Cereol. The total market capitalisation of Cereol stands at about €824m ($799m).
