Morgan Stanley has won a role advising on what could be the US bank’s third multibillion-pound tie-up in the UK’s betting industry in the past 12 months.

The Wall Street bank is working for gaming companies 888 Holdings and The Rank Group on a possible offer for William Hill, a London-listed bookmaker with a market capitalisation of £2.7 billion, according to a statement from 888 and Rank on July 24.
