Morgan Stanley was the best of a bad bunch in bond trading for banks on Wall Street in the second quarter.

Closing the earnings season for the big US banks today, Morgan Stanley reported a 4% year-on-year fall in fixed-income sales and trading revenues to $1.24bn.
